This durable, clean, well finished furniture can be found in homes around Crystal Lake and Platte Lake in Benzie County; around Arcadia in Manistee County; in summer retreats in Leelanau and Grand Traverse County and beyond.
If you have a traditional rustic log home and are looking for some "up-north decor" furniture or room accents or just a casual room that could use a special touch, then Stabstix Rustic Furniture may be the what you are looking for.
Glenn has a number of pre-built items at his shop that are for sale, but he also does custom orders. Often, a customer visits the work shop that results in a special order.
HOW TO BUY SOME SLABSTIX?
Slabstix shop and studio is located on County Line Road, on the south side of Crystal Mountain Resort and Thompsonville.
Some maps call it Manistee County Line Road #602, other maps call it Smeltzer Road.
From Manistee, go north on US 31 to County Line Road (at the Manistee and Benzie County border) then east about 5 miles.
From Traverse City, go west on US 31 to County Road 669 at the Fish Hatchery. Then go south on 669 one block south of the intersection of 669 and M 115. Then west about 5 miles. Slabstix is about 40 minutes from Manistee and Traverse City. <click for larger map>
